r/NewTubers rules: what actually gets removed

Each rule below is paired with the way it is most likely enforced. Where the rules state a number, we quote it. Where they do not, we say so instead of guessing.

1. 1.No Self Promotion

   This is **not** a place to dump your videos and leave! We are a Discussion-first community. We are here to help you learn, not to be your audience. You are only allowed to post links to your content in * The Weekly *Feedback Friday* and *Self-Introduce Saturday* Megathreads * Critique threads by other users When asked for a link to your channel you are not allowed to provide it in the comments, you must DM it. 2. 2.No Advertising

3. 3.Introducing Yourself

   We do not allow Introduction or "Hello My Name Is" style posts on the subreddit. 4. 4.Milestone Threads

5. 5.No AI-written Posts

   Enforcement varies

   We do not allow AI written posts, as the community views this as spam. If you'd like to engage with the community, please be sure to write your own posts.

6. 6.Giving Critique

   Enforcement varies

   Offering critique to others is an awesome way to give back to the community. All this won't work if everyone just takes and doesn't give! [Details and copy-pastable rules here, section IV](/r/NewTubers/wiki/rules) Please note, you **cannot** post your own links in a Critique Thread, and you **cannot** do a "Video Critique" or ask for submissions for a "Video Critique."

7. 7.Critique Threads

   Before posting a link to your video in the *Feedback Friday* Megathread or another user's critique thread, please make sure that you are aware of the following rules: * you must give **meaningful** feedback on at least **TWO (2)** other people **before** posting your own content * The first and second person to comment have **one hour** to provide feedback *after* posting * It's appreciated if you mention both positive and negative points [Details here, Section IV.2](/r/NewTubers/wiki/rules)

8. 8.Other Types of Posts

   **Seeking Collab** * This kind of post is for you if you are looking to collaborate with other NewTubers. **Questions and Community topics** * To ask other community members or have discussions with them. 9. 9.Flairing Your Post

10. 10.Behavior Guidelines

r/NewTubers does not publish karma or account-age minimums in its rules. Subreddits often enforce unpublished filters on top of what they write down, which is why posts from new accounts can vanish without a message here.
