We are still collecting enough recent posts from r/garyvee to publish an honest estimate. Every number on this page is measured, not guessed, so this box stays empty until the sample is big enough.
Can you self-promote in r/garyvee?
r/garyvee does not state a clear self-promo policy in its rules. Treat that as caution, not permission: mods remove promo at their discretion, and Reddit's sitewide spam filter still applies. A value-first post that mentions your project beats a launch-style post here.

r/garyvee posting questions
Can I post links in r/garyvee?
Yes. r/garyvee accepts link posts. The usual sitewide traps still apply: URL shorteners, affiliate parameters, and brand-new domains get filtered fast, and promotional links are judged against the sub's self-promo rules. One clean link to the original source is the safe pattern.
Does r/garyvee require karma to post?
r/garyvee does not publish a karma minimum. That does not mean there is none: many subreddits enforce unpublished karma and account-age filters that remove posts silently. If your account is new or has little karma, that is the first thing to rule out when a post disappears.
Is r/garyvee strict?
Relaxed, by our estimate (0/100 on our strictness scale, from its 0 rules and stated gates; no removal sample yet). Strictness is about enforcement, not hostility: a strict sub is predictable if you follow its rules.
What is the best time to post in r/garyvee?
Based on our sample of recent and top posts, activity and scores peak around Tuesday 3pm UTC. Treat this as a starting point, not a guarantee: a post that breaks a rule gets removed at any hour. The heatmap on this page converts these windows to your local time.
Why do posts get removed in r/garyvee?
Every subreddit runs several removal layers: its own rules, unpublished AutoMod filters, Reddit's sitewide spam filter, and account-level gates like karma and age. Many removals are silent: the post looks live to you and invisible to everyone else. Checking your draft first beats finding out after.
